Ashley Hale holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music in Trumpet Performance and in Economics. Hale plays all types of music and even created a major to incorporate both Classical and Jazz genres while in studying at Oberlin. She graduated from the Yale School of Music with her Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance and was selected as a Morse Post-Graduate Fellow where she taught on behalf of the Yale School of Music. Ashley Hale has studied with great teachers and performers including Roy Poper, Allan Dean, Eddie Henderson and Sean Jones. While she has had performance opportunities ranging from Carnegie Hall to South Korea, she also loves to teach! With over a decade of teaching experience, she continues to share the methods to facilitate trumpet playing with ease, and earnestly strives to make the next generation of players better than herself. Ashley Hale has served as the trumpet Faculty at the Neighborhood Music School for five years, teaches private lessons at the Hopkins school and performs with her church Choir and Orchestra.
